Just a FACT!!! (not a FUN one)

73 million sharks are killed every year to meet the increasing demand for shark fin soup, resulting in the collapse of many shark populations worldwide.

There is no one type of shark used for the Fin Soup this effects ALL shark populations. Many are finned and thrown back into the ocean to sink to the bottom and die a slow uncalled for death.

Please take a moment and make a stand for a species that can not speak for itself.

That happens to be the title of the new documentary by famous marine artist Guy Harvey.

There was a captivating article this morning in the Sun Sentinel explaining the plot of the film which is set to be shown Thursday October 20, 2011 at 6:30 pm at Nova Southeastern University  in Davie, FL.

The conservation of sharks is a growing concern and that is what Guy Harvey intended to highlight in this film.

After viewing the film hopefully people will be inspired to participate in the shark conservation movement.
